Criticism My Prayer My Prayer II Stand Strong
When bitter words of criticism are rained upon me,
I pull my shutters tightly around me.
I will not let it enter into my soul.
When the torrent ends,
I fling the shutters wide,
and let the sunshine of God’s love flood in!

Lord, that my life will be hidden in You
That the Christ within will come shining through,
That my actions and thoughts will be pleasing to You,
Lord, that’s my prayer! That in this New year, others I’ll bless
That only what’s true, my lips will confess
That only in garments of praise I will dress,
Lord, that’s my prayer!
That I’ll search my own heart and renounce all sin
That I’ll refuse to let critical thoughts come in
That each new morning with prayer I’ll begin,
Lord, that’s my prayer!

Dear Lord, now send forth
The mighty Michael
To storm the forts
Of the enemy
Who like in the days
Of Daniel of old
Is holding back
The answer to my prayer.
For I know, Lord,
You heard my urgent plea
The moment it poured
Forth from my lips.
And now I thank you,
Praise you,
Rejoice in you,
Father,
For I know the
Answer’s on the way!

He washed his hands
“I’m innocent!” Pilate cried,
Knowing deep within his heart
That unto God he lied.
He feared to face the mob
And stand for what was right
He knew it was a sin
In God’s own holy sight.
So friend, stand true and strong
No matter what the test
For if you know you’re right
You can always claim God’s best!
