WORLDS BEST HAMBURGER

3 lb. hamburger
2 T liquid smoke
½ t pepper
2 t garlic salt (Lawry’s brand is best)
1 small onion finely chopped
8 large hamburger buns
1 cube real butter
12 peeled roasted green chilies
1 8oz. can tomato sauce
garlic salt to taste
8 slices cheese

Mix first 5 ingredients. Form into 8 patties. Send husband or other willing helper to the grill. While burgers are cooking crush green chilies. (The round end of a one handle rolling pin works well.) Add the tomato sauce and garlic salt to crushed chilies. Mix. Grill hamburger buns with butter on stovetop. Put a slice of cheese on each hamburger when done, let the cheese melt before you take the hamburgers off of the grill. Serve hamburgers with the green chili mixture and veggies and condiments of your choice. If 8 small hamburger buns are used cut the first 5 ingredients in half. And use ½ cube butter to grill buns.
